I graduated from the Faculty of Automation and Computer Technology of the Georgian Technical University in 1986, specializing in electronic computing machines. Since 1986 I have been working at the Archil Eliashvili Institute of Control Systems. I am currently a worker in the Information Transformation Problems Division. I am a researcher since 2012. My research interests are information technology and databases. In different years (1996-1999, 2002-2004) I participated in educational activities. I have experience working in printed products technical support.

The report analyzes the energy potential of wind and the perspectives of its use in the Kvemo Kartli region. It has been revealed that the areas of Rustavi city along the Mtkvari river, in the direction of Rustavi-Tbilisi, are of practical importance for the development of wind energy. Reproducibility of wind speed in the case of V³5 m/s is 34% in Rustavi, 32% in Samgori, 38% in Tbilisi-Airport. Maximum wind speeds of V³5 m/s are observed in Kvemo Kartli territory approximately 32 days a year from April to July and are related to the strengthening of the circulation processes in the valleys.

Possible scales of use of a wind power in Georgia are analyzed. Depending on speed of wind and its duration, it is possible to allocate five zones of territories in Georgia. Specific power capacities and specific annual developments of the electric power are defined. Technical and economic indicators of primary objects of a wind-driven power station are obtained and scales of use of wind energy for 15-20 years with possible development of the electric power of 5-7 billion KBm in a year are estimated.
