Since 2006 I have been working as a Senior Research Fellow at the Georgian Technical University Research Center for Industrial Forces and Natural Resources and since 1984 - at the Archil Eliashvili Institute of Management Systems of the Georgian Technical University - as a Senior Fellow. In 1992-2000 I worked in JSC "Sakenergogeneration" - a leading specialist; In 1979-1984 I worked as a researcher at the Georgian Polytechnic Institute; In 1978-1979 I worked as an engineer in the production union "Saktransgaz". I have been awarded the Medal of Honor of the Soviet Inventor. I graduated from the Faculty of Hydraulic Engineering and Plumbing of the Georgian Polytechnic Institute, majoring in Heat Supply and Ventilation Diploma Г-1 # 200153. 1973-1978 I have graduated from the Faculty of Public Professions of the Georgian Polytechnic Institute, majoring in the Department of Lecturer, I have been awarded the public profession of sociologist. Diploma # 0117. 1975-1978. I graduated from I. Chavchavadze Tbilisi State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages. Two-year foreign language courses (English). Certificate # 039. 1985-1986. On November 17, 1989, I was awarded the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences. Diploma КД # 012240. On May 19, 2006, I was awarded the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences. Diploma # 001667. I have published more than 100 scientific papers, including: 12 monographs, more than 30 - conference papers, 1 - invention. My areas of interest are: General Energy, Thermal Energy, Energy Economics and Ecology, Energy Saving Technologies. There has been elaborated an imitative model of the heating system heat pump machinery by means of which it is possible to establish an individual objects and manufacturing technology processes in residential localities of the heating-cooling supply optimal schemes. In the report there is laid out an analysys conducted by us, of the energy-economical results of the various types of the heatins systems operating on the basis of heating pump macninery. Based on climate districts there are established heating pumps usage effective zones for various types of low potential heat sources and for heating stations of various cost.

Georgia is a small country, power grid of which goes to expand day-by-day. Nowadays Georgia has the parallel synchronous connections with Russia and Azerbaijan. In addition, Georgia will have parallel asynchronous connections (through HVDC back-to-back station) with Armenia and Turkey. This means that in near future, power transit from Russia, Azerbaijan or Armenia to Turkey through Georgian system will be implemented. Because of connection of Turkey with united European grid, Georgian system in connected to Turkey through Back-to-Back (B2B) station, which is located in Akhaltsikhe substation. In present time, two blocks are ready for operation, installation of third one in near future is planned. Nominal active power of each B2B block is 350 MW. In future, depending on scenario, there may be all three or two blocks in operation. Hence, the summary power flow will be in range of 700- 1000 MW. The abstract consists from overview of power system analysis and control. Basic overview of transient processes, concept and analysis of system stability, methods of power system control are represented here.

Today’s state of use of the sun, wind, thermal water power in Georgia and prospects for their development are analyzed. It is demonstrated that in case of extensive use of renewable, non-conventional energy resources, saving up to 15-20 percent of heat-power resources consumed in the country will be achieved. The conducted research suggests that one of the promising trends of the Georgian heat-power complex is energy saving and large-scale implementation of energy-saving technologies in the manufacturing enterprises of various branches of national economy.

The world energetic crisis forces the look for new alternative energy sources. Such sources can be clear, non-traditional energy resources, like: solar, wind, bio and geothermal. Our object of research in this article concerns the geothermal energy resources. Geothermal energy provides a huge, reliable, renewable resource, unaffected by changing weather conditions. It reduces reliance on fossil fuels and their inherent price unpredictability and when managed with sensitivity to the site capacity, it is sustainable. Geothermal energy is relatively environmentally friendly. The use of conventional polluting fuels such as oil and coal can be reduced if geothermal and other alternative energy forms be used (reducing pollution). Georgia is rich by geothermal resources, but tuday they are not usedeffectively. One of the ways of effecctive use of geothermal water resourrces suggested by us is their use in refrigeratingequipment of fruit and vegetable store-houses. Besides, the scheme is already developed for using geothermal water for drying and cooling cereals in grain- elevators. For cooling atmospheric air the special air-cooling units aredeveloped.
