I was born in 1948 in St. In Tbilisi. In 1966, I attended the Mining and Geological Faculty of the Polytechnic Institute of Georgia, specializing in the geology and exploration of mineral deposits, which I graduated in 1971 and received the qualification of an engineer-geologist. In 1972 - 1978, I worked at the Caucasus Institute of Mineral Resources, first as a technical geologist in the geochemistry sector, and then as an engineer in the mineral deposits sector. In 1979, I moved to Moscow (ИГЕМ АНСССР) for postgraduate studies at the Institute of the All-Union Academy of Sciences, which I graduated in 1984, and in 1986 I defended my thesis in the same institute to obtain the scientific degree of Candidate of Sciences in Geology-Mineralogy. In 1986 - 2003, I continued to work in the Caucasus Institute of Mineral Raw Materials as the manager of the forecast resources and precious metals sector, and later as a leading scientist-worker in the non-ferrous metals sector. Since 2003, I have been working as an associate professor at the Technical University of Georgia, since 2006 as an associate professor, and since 2017 as a professor. Since 2018, I have been a member of the representative council of GTU. I have published 30 scientific works, including in ranked journals and at various local and international conferences. I give lectures in various subjects in undergraduate educational programs. My hobbies are history (especially related to Georgia) and sports (related to Georgia). I have a wife and two children.

The paper discusses and analyzes the green economy as an economic activity that implies less impact on the environment and ecology, where the development of mineral resources in the period and conditions of globalization will be based on sustainable development and ecological economy. A green economy implies the equality of other resources, as well as moving towards less carbon, which promotes the wise use of natural resources and reduces negative impacts on the environment. Given the sustainable development of the country's economy, it accelerates the practice of clean consumption and production, attracts green investments, creates new green jobs, prevents environmental degradation and reduces the irrational use of natural resources, thereby improving the socio-economic status of the state and its population.

In order to increase the state's national wealth and budget revenues, it is necessary not only to use the existing mineral resources more intensively, but also to develop and expand geological exploration activities with the involvement of active creators of innovative infrastructure (clusters, incubators, etc.). Thus, raising the efficiency of mineral exploration and use is an important national task, in the interests of present and future generations.

The paper discusses and analyzes the complex of mineral resources, which is one of the most economically sustainable and socially important sectors of the economy, the main contributor to the country's budget system and the main source of funds for the transition to a new technological structure of domestic industry. In the future, despite the change in the economy raw material model, the importance of mineral raw materials materials will not decrease. Specific consumption of energy, metals and other minerals will also increase with increasing standard of living. Also, suggestions and recommendations are proposed for effective involvement in international economic relations, where the needs of the population can be met after the rational use of fossil resources,

Along with the extraction of basic raw materials, waste recycling, including "poor" ores and the complex use of raw materials, the efficient use of resource-saving technologies, and the improvement of environmental measures.

GLOBAL CHALLENGES AND PROSPECTS FOR EFFICIENT ASSIMILATE OF MINERAL RESOURCES Contract

The paper analyzes the global challenges, trends and prospects for the ef¿ cient use of mineral resources in the period and conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has affected the mineral-commodity commodity markets and the mining industry around the world in different ways. Due to the spread of the coronavirus and restrictions imposed by the government, the mining operations of the companies were somewhat affected and the demand for some goods decreased. The article discusses the potential long-term impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, global risks and trends on future demand for mineral products, tactical, strategic steps and prospects for mining companies to quickly and effectively rationalize the current crisis in the mining industry. Suggestions and practical recommendations on the theoretical-methodological basis of the stages of policy formation and implementation mechanism in the research sector have been developed.

Georgian mineral resources as the country’s economic growth and to improve the competetnivess factor. Contract

In condition of modern globalization the determining criteria for sustainable development is not only the rate of economic growth, but also the rate of balanced development of fields, where on the base of the mineral resource is to foresee as a result of innovative activities development the emergence of new areas of industry, which produces innovative products and provides the labor productivity and value-added growth.

The paper discusses and analyzes the potential impact of global risks and the COVID-19 pandemic on the future demand for mineral resources, the risks, challenges, opportunities and development prospects of the mining industry, as well as the tactical and strategic directions of development of mining companies. In the context of the recent crisis, COVID-19 has become a catalyst for digital growth and strengthened the relevance of sustainable development, creating new trends in the sustainable business management model for personnel management, supply organization and public relations.

In this regard, it is important to expand the main determining directions of the competitiveness of mining and metallurgical enterprises - digital transformation, sustainable development and digitalization (business transformation and coping). CURRENT ASPECTS OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN MINING INDUSTRY Contract

The paper discusses the prospective development of the mining industry, focused on the effective use of digital technologies, productivity growth and portfolio optimization. Digitization of mining processes involves the transition from paper-based manual work to a digital platform that combines different systems, automation, artificial intelligence, machine learning and data management language to simplify production and significantly improve operational results. The level of competitiveness of mining enterprises is primarily determined by productivity and perfection of operations. In such conditions, digitization becomes the defining factor that allows these mining companies to remain competitive in the future. As is known, the transition to new, improved work methods in the mining industry is slower than in other industries, usually due to the scale and complexity of production processes, as well as significant processing costs. Therefore, some enterprises in this area are not actively using digital technologies. Nevertheless, the world's leading mining companies are investing heavily in the development of modern technologies in order to increase production levels and environmental efficiency, reduce manual labor, energy and other costs, thus it becomes clear that digital technologies open new opportunities for a significant increase in labor productivity and profits.
