I was born in 1948 in St. In Tbilisi. In 1966, I attended the Mining and Geological Faculty of the Polytechnic Institute of Georgia, specializing in the geology and exploration of mineral deposits, which I graduated in 1971 and received the qualification of an engineer-geologist. In 1972 - 1978, I worked at the Caucasus Institute of Mineral Resources, first as a technical geologist in the geochemistry sector, and then as an engineer in the mineral deposits sector. In 1979, I moved to Moscow (ИГЕМ АНСССР) for postgraduate studies at the Institute of the All-Union Academy of Sciences, which I graduated in 1984, and in 1986 I defended my thesis in the same institute to obtain the scientific degree of Candidate of Sciences in Geology-Mineralogy. In 1986 - 2003, I continued to work in the Caucasus Institute of Mineral Raw Materials as the manager of the forecast resources and precious metals sector, and later as a leading scientist-worker in the non-ferrous metals sector. Since 2003, I have been working as an associate professor at the Technical University of Georgia, since 2006 as an associate professor, and since 2017 as a professor. Since 2018, I have been a member of the representative council of GTU. I have published 30 scientific works, including in ranked journals and at various local and international conferences. I give lectures in various subjects in undergraduate educational programs. My hobbies are history (especially related to Georgia) and sports (related to Georgia). I have a wife and two children.

7-td International Scientific-practical Conference on up-to-date problems of Geology. Book of Abstracts, GTU, Tbilisi, ,,Technical University“ | Tbilisi Georgia | 2021 | 28-29 October | Mineralogical Society of Georgia, G. Tsulukidze Mining Institute, Georgian Technical University | GLOBAL CHALLENGES AND PROSPECTS FOR EFFICIENT USE OF MINERAL RESOURCES | oral | The paper discusses and analyzes the potential impact of global risks and the COVID-19 pandemic on future mineral resource demand, mining industry risks, challenges, opportunities and development prospects, as well as tactical and strategic directions for the development of mining companies in the face of rapid and effective crises. COVID-19 has become the catalyst for digital growth Strengthened sustainable development compliance, creation New Trends Sustainable Business Management Model for Personnel Management, Delivery Organization, and Public Relations. In this regard, the main determinants of the competitiveness of mining and metallurgical enterprises - digital transformation, sustainable development and digitalization (business transformation and overcoming) are becoming more and more widespread. Companies that rely on the latest digital technology tools (EcoStruxure digital architecture, digital twins, MES systems, Smart mills and other technologies) to increase efficiency and business management, as well as climate change technologies, will become the main driving force of economic development in the coming years.
6-td International Scientific-practical Conference on up-to-date problems of Geology. Book of Abstracts, GTU, Tbilisi, ,,Technical University“ | Tbilisi Georgia | 2020 | 24-25 September | Mineralogical Society of Georgia, G. Tsulukidze Mining Institute, Georgian Technical University | GREEN ECONOMY AND CURRENT ASPECTS OF MASTERING MINERAL RESOURCES IN GLOBALIZATION | oral | The paper discusses and analyzes the green economy as an economic activity that implies less impact on the environment and ecology, where the development of mineral resources in the period and conditions of globalization will be based on sustainable development and ecological economy. A green economy implies the equality of other resources, as well as moving towards less carbon, which promotes the wise use of natural resources and reduces negative impacts on the environment. Given the sustainable development of the country's economy, it accelerates the practice of clean consumption and production, attracts green investments, creates new green jobs, prevents environmental degradation and reduces the irrational use of natural resources, thereby improving the socio-economic status of the state and its population. In order to increase the state's national wealth and budget revenues, it is necessary not only to use the existing mineral resources more intensively, but also to develop and expand geological exploration activities with the involvement of active creators of innovative infrastructure (clusters, incubators, etc.). Thus, raising the efficiency of mineral exploration and use is an important national task, in the interests of present and future generations.

Book of Abstracts, GTU, Tbilisi, ,,Technical University“ | Tbilisi Georgia | 2019 | 29-30 May | Georgian Technical University | Ecological problems of Lukhuni arsenic deposit and their economic loss assessment | oral | The paper discusses and analyzes the complex of mineral resources, which is one of the most economically sustainable and socially important sectors of the economy, the main contributor to the country's budget system and the main source of funds for the transition to a new technological structure of domestic industry. In the future, despite the change in the economy raw material model, the importance of mineral raw materials materials will not decrease. Specific consumption of energy, metals and other minerals will also increase with increasing standard of living. Also, suggestions and recommendations are proposed for effective involvement in international economic relations, where the needs of the population can be met after the rational use of fossil resources, Along with the extraction of basic raw materials, waste recycling, including "poor" ores and the complex use of raw materials, the efficient use of resource-saving technologies, and the improvement of environmental measures.
